Executive Overview
Due diligence – informally defined as “making sure you get
what you pay for” – is important in virtually every financially significant
transaction. To avoid undue risk in a transaction involving software assets,
specialized software due diligence skills and a systematic software-specific
methodology are essential. This paper describes a methodology and the skills
necessary for software technology due diligence to reduce investment risk.
